THE COMPANY

We are a mobile games and technology developer based in Brighton, England.

Formed in June of 2011 by four industry veterans with a combined experience of over 40 years making AAA games, including director and lead positions on Burnout, Army of Two and Split/Second. ShortRound was founded around the ideals of bringing the level of quality gamers had come to expect in Console and PC games into the developing mobile market.

In the 5 years since then, we have grown into an industry leader in Location Based Games. We have developed our own vector based mapping technology that allows us to build scalable point of interest based games around real world locations, all without having to rely on third party map data.

We continue to expand on our collective passion for creating engaging and innovative games, while maintaining the high production values of our AAA Heritage. Smashing the boundaries of what 'Mobile Gaming' means and delivering products that leave players blown away!

THE TEAM

Andy Hubbard - Game Director

Stuart Pharoah - Technical Art Director

Stuart is Technical Art Director and a founding member of Shortround Games. An all-round game artist with 20 years of industry experience and past Lead artist roles, Stuart has worked on many big name titles. Credits include, Medal of Honor, SSX, Army of Two and Split Second as well as the entire Shortround back catalogue. Outside of work, Stu is a keen swimmer and cook.

Kim Burrows - Director of Technology

Kim is the director of technology at Shortround. With more than 15 published games across many platforms, he brings decades of programming experience to the company. His knowledge ranges from low-level graphics to game-server programming and everything in between. Before co-founding Shortround, Kim was a developing games at Disney’s Black Rock Studio and Climax Racing.
When not immersed in tech, Kim might be found surrounded by his 4 kids, or perhaps working on the set of the latest TV drama

Dan Hines - Programmer

Matt Gilchrist - UI Artist

Terry Baldock - 3D Artist/Designer

Terry is a 3D artist and Game Designer. If he’s not noodling away modelling something pretty, he’s probably got his nose in a spreadsheet or design document. Terry has worked on every ShortRound game since Project Outbreak, and also worked as a Character Artist on Forza Horizon 3. Outside of the office walls, Terry enjoys cycling, eating good veggie food and playing MOBA’s and MMO’s.
